Hot off their hit single “Summertime,” New Kids On The Block announce their comeback to Philadelphia when they bring their world tour to the Wachovia Center on Wednesday, November 5 at 8 p.m. as part of a reunion 15 years in the making.
NKOTB last performed in South Philadelphia at the Spectrum in December of 1990. The group split in 1994, but has recently reunited in the recording studio to create new music, working in partnership with a new record label, Interscope Records, and a cadre of world class music producers. The guys have been hard at work writing and recording for an expected new album in Fall 2008.
A phenomenal fan base has always been one of the cornerstones of the group’s success. After the initial announcement of the reunion on live television, the website was overwhelmed with traffic causing a temporary system crash.
